How to Withdraw Funds

Modified on Fri, Jun 6 at 3:47 PM

You can withdraw funds from your Optimized Savings using your Max Dashboard, or if you need funds sooner, you can contact any of the banks directly to request a same-day wire transfer.

How to withdraw funds (for those with Max Checking):

  1. Log into your Max Dashboard.
  2. Click on the “left” arrow to transfer funds from Optimized Savings back to Max Checking.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer, and click “Continue.”
  4. Review the transfer details and click “Confirm.”

Transfers from Optimized Savings to Max Checking typically take 1–3 business days. Once funds are available, you can withdraw funds from Max Checking.

  5. Click “Add/Withdraw Funds” underneath your Max Checking balance.
  6. Click “Withdrawal” in the lower left-hand corner.
  7. Enter the amount you want to withdraw, select the destination, and click “Continue.”
  8. Review the transfer details, and click “Confirm.”

If you have Max Checking and are planning a withdrawal, we recommend allowing 2–5 business days to transfer funds from Optimized Savings to Max Checking and then from Max Checking to your external account. If you need funds sooner, you can request a same-day wire transfer from your banks. For wire transfer instructions, please refer to our guide: What if I need funds sooner?

For Members who have linked their existing checking account as their central account:

If you are not using Max Checking, you can request a transfer from Optimized Savings to your linked checking account using the green arrows on your Max Dashboard. Transfers will take 1–3 business days to process. If you need funds same-day, please refer to our guide: What if I need funds sooner?

Quick Tip: If you have an upcoming optimization, you can pause it by clicking “Change” next to your upcoming optimization date. For detailed instructions, please refer to: How can I change my optimization schedule?
