With Max, you can deposit funds via same-day wire transfer, or via ACH transfer, which usually takes 1–3 business days.
How to deposit funds via wire transfer:
- Sign into your Max Dashboard.
- Navigate to “Checking” and click “View Link External Accounts.”
- Click “Option 1” to view your wire transfer instructions.
- Contact your bank to request a wire transfer.
- Once your wire transfer is completed, log into your Max Dashboard to initiate an optimization.
How to deposit funds via ACH:
- Sign into your Max Dashboard.
- Navigate to “Checking” and click “View / Link External Accounts.”
- Click “Option 2” to link an account via Plaid.
- Once your account is linked, navigate to “Checking” and click “Deposit.”
- Enter the amount to deposit, review the transfer details and click “Deposit Funds.”
Note: For new clients of Customers Bank, which services Max Checking, funds deposited by ACH may be subject to an initial bank hold of up to 10 business days. To avoid this hold, you may wish to schedule your initial deposit via wire transfer.
For Members who have linked their existing checking account as their central account:
If you are not using Max Checking, then you can request a transfer from your checking account to Optimized Savings using the green arrows on your Max Dashboard. Transfers from your checking account to Optimized Savings will be processed via ACH and clear in 1–3 business days.
