How Much Does Max Cost?

Modified on Wed, May 28 at 1:22 PM

Max Membership Fee:

Membership in Max costs 4 basis points (0.04%) per quarter, subject to a $20.00 minimum. This equates to $40 per quarter for every $100,000 in your Optimized Savings.

If you have less than $50,000.00 in your online savings accounts, you will be billed $20.00 per quarter (i.e. once every three months). This minimum is waived for clients with a linked Financial Advisor.

Max members can often expect to earn more with Max than they could by opening online savings accounts on their own, even net of Max's membership fee. For details about how much more you can earn with Max, refer to our 2024 Impact Study.

Billing Cadence:

The Max Membership fee is automatically deducted from your central checking account (i.e. Max Checking or your cash sweep account) on a quarterly basis.

Your first invoice will be calculated 15 days after the completion of your first optimization, and then every 90 days thereafter.  You'll receive an email notification when each quarterly fee is calculated, and you'll have 10 days to review the calculation before the fee is collected from your central checking account by ACH.

Are there any other fees?

There are no additional fees. As a Max Member, you will not be subject to incremental bank fees such as maintenance or statement fees and the cost of all ACH transfers is included in your Max membership. The only cost associated with using Max is the quarterly Max Membership fee as described above.

To view your billing details:

  1. Log into your Max Profile and navigate to Profile > Billing Billing History.
  2. You will see a list of your past invoices and their date paid.
  3. Click the invoice link to view the calculation of your fee.
