To change the checking account that you use with Max, click on the gear icon next to your existing checking account on your Max Dashboard.
Next, scroll down and follow the prompts to remove Max’s link to your existing account.
You will be prompted to link a new checking account. Select your desired account and follow the prompts to complete the linking process.
Any online savings accounts that you have opened using the Max Common Application (UFB Direct, BrioDirect powered by Webster Bank, Quontic Bank, Customers Bank, Veritex Bank, Fieldpoint Private, or BankProv) will automatically link to your new checking account.
If you have opened/linked online savings accounts at any other banks that are not supported on the Max Common Application (i.e. Barclays, or Ally Bank), you will need to log into each bank's website and add your new checking account as an external funding account. The online banks allow you to link multiple checking accounts, so you need not remove any of the links you may have previously established.
If you’re linking a new Max Checking account to existing online savings accounts at Barclays, or Ally Bank, you can find your Max Checking ABA Routing number and account number by clicking on the word “Checking” atop your Max Dashboard.
